'MUKTAYI ' in classical Bharatanatyam is a term that connotes a climax! A particular segment of dance beginning as a normal exposition of dance movements picks up momentum and the 'Varnam' then reaches a high level of recitals, rhythms, beats and dance movements ending as a high climax, the 'Muktayi'! Antara coined and used this term for its 25th Anniversary performance very aptly to indicate its journey through these 25 years, reaching a peak and gearing up for more of 'Muktayi' in the years to come...Indeed a turning point in the dance career pursuit of Antara disciples!
